A superb quality Victorian engraved glass claret jug. The silver plated mount has been engraved with a fern pattern cast handle with a gargoyle motif and a Bacchus style spout. Ovoid shape body with two different beautifully engraved scenes of a heron. Supported on a circular star cut foot. The mount has been re silver plated and is in very good condition. (c.1890).
