A very rare and unusual Victorian Spode porcelain and silver plated biscuit box in the form of a hand bag with a central swing handle and two hinged floral engraved flaps. The porcelain bag is a turquoise colour with two gilt floral bands on each end and has a Victorian diamond registration mark on the base. The porcelain bag is in perfect condition and the mounts have also been re silver plated. (c.1895).
