A very unusual antique leather and silver plated Pleasant Surprise 8oz novelty flask in the shape of a book with a secret detachable gilt bayonet fitting corner cap and marked with the maker J Dixon & Sons and beautifully engraved look like pages. The leather cover is in very good original condition, there are signs of ware as can be seen on the gilt corners. A fantastic gift for a book lover!
