Early Victorian sterling silver Edward Smith vinaigrette in a rectangular form. Unusual floral pierced gilt grill that is positioned horizontally to the box. The body has been beautifully engraved with floral scroll decoration with an empty cartouche to the lid. The interior has been gilt and on the left hand side of the box there is a link for a chain that could be taken off easily. Very good original condition without any wear to the engraved body. (1841).
