A very heavily floral embossed Victorian silver plated biscuit barrel. In an oval shape with a hinged embossed floral lid and a winged sphinx finial. The body has been embossed with floral scrolling and fruits. There are four empty cartouche around the body and stands on an oval beaded base with four cast shell and scroll style feet. Very good re silver plated condition with all four cartouche empty. (c.1890)
